At Scotweb we achieve outstanding 'big company' results with a team of around 10 full-timers, plus part-time and sub-contract staffing. We do this by walking our talk... using automated technologies to streamline procedures for everything possible in pursuit of reliability and efficiency.

Our permanent technology and design staff have outstanding abilities and qualifications... and that's all we're saying, as we prefer to protect their privacy, and thwart our competitors' efforts to poach them!

The company is represented by its two partners:

Dr Nick Fiddes - Managing Director

Before setting up Scotweb in 1995, Nick was a lecturer and researcher in Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. It was his awareness of the huge cultural strength of the Scottish 'brand' across the world that led him to establish the company, to market the nation's iconic products to the tens of millions of above-averagely affluent people around the world who claim Scots identity and heritage. Nick's is also a widely published writer, a world authority on the social meaning of meat (!) and has worked for periods in such diverse fields as technology sales, educational research, theatre administration, and catering. He is also recognised as a leading expert in web accessibility.


Dr Adele Telford - Marketing Director

Unlike Nick (who earns his title from a PhD) Adele is a genuine doctor! After many years working in hospital medicine and then training in General Practice, Adele realised that the highly creative side of her personality was not being sufficiently exercised and sought a radical career change. As a partner in Scotweb, primarily responsible for devising and administrating complex targetted marketing campaigns as well as contributing an eye for design and jointly charting company strategy, Adele says she has found the perfect outlet for her skills.
